Dawson and Riley

Dawson and Riley was the company that was awarded the contract to build the power station’s canal, forebay and wheelpit. They were paid $500,000, equivalent to approximately $15 million in today’s dollars. By the time the work was done, the company had removed 237,012 cubic meters (310,000 cubic yards) of earth and rock. That’s nearly 1.5 million barrels of oil!
